Internship Dates: 2 weeks in May 2024 & July 2024 at our Sydney Office.

What you’ll do:

Guided through Akuna’s classroom-style lectures, assessments & quizzes, competitive trading games and trader shadowing, our program represents an opportunity to gain a foothold in a company at the intersection between technology and finance.

We want to teach Trading from a first principles basis. You will learn to think practically like a Trader as you progress through our exclusive training program, which is designed to develop your intuition for markets, position management and evaluating risk and reward.

No matter your degree background or experience level, if you have an interest in financial markets, love solving problems, designing and creating solutions, and have strong mental math and communication skills – by the end of this winter you will have gained exposure to what life as a Trader at Akuna looks like

 What you’ll bring:

• Australian or NZ citizen or Australian Permanent residence only
• Pre-penultimate student, graduating between August 2026 & February 2027
• An academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Economics, or related degrees with a distinction average (or equivalent)
• Strong mental math, pattern recognition and probability skills
• Work experience that enhanced your communication, problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills
• No prior knowledge or coding requirements, just a desire to learn about financial markets and economics theories
• Risk appetite & ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to commence in May 2024 or July 2025 for two weeks.
