BDO - AUDIT 

If you know that business is about more than the balance sheet and profit and loss statements, then this could be the team for you.  Our audit specialists and technical experts focus on the bigger picture. BDO has one of Aotearoa’s largest dedicated audit teams. 

BDO - Business Advisory 

In Advisory, we work alongside businesses to help support and manage their financial needs. From basics such as tax compliance, day-to-day accounting requirements, payroll and preparing financial statements, to the more complex stuff such as growth strategies, tax planning and asset protection. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of business finance and make a real impact!

Pros and cons of working at BDO New Zealand

Pros

  • The culture at BDO is great, as there are lots of different social activities that you can participate in throughout the year.

  • The support provided by the people around me.

  • Flexitime works well for me...start earlier in the day...and leave at a good time to still have time after work.

  • Many learning opportunities, consistent training, on-time feedback, and encouragement."

  • The office here is very big and has heaps of facilities available such as a coffee machine, multiple microwaves, fridges, and toastie makers.

Cons

    • Workflow inconsistencies—being light on work.

    • Sometimes it felt as if there wasn't enough training before getting thrown into it.

    • Small office space on busy days.

    • Time feels a little micromanaged.

    • Office temperature is never right.
