Time for another productive day! I like to catch up on my university readings right after waking up. After that, I will take a shower and put together some clothes that would go together for the day.
8.00 AM
I get my energy up by having some breakfast and then catch the train! During my commute, I will continue with my university readings. As I finally arrive at Glenferrie Station, it’s a short walk to the office.
9.00 AM
Arrived at the office! The team always greets me and makes me feel so welcome. With such an open office, it feels very inviting! Finally, I get to my desk and settle in. Since I’m only working 2 days a week, I like to ask my colleagues about things I have missed out on in the last week.
9.30 AM
I check my email inbox and go through it to stay updated on new information or tasks I perhaps need to add to my list. Then, check my to-do list and add any new tasks onto it to ensure I stay on schedule.
9.45 AM
I begin by going through the database, Bullhorn and searching for candidates suitable for available job opportunities. Then, I’d contact these candidates and if they’re interested, go through a pre-screening questionnaire with them over the phone. These candidates will then be added into the Bullhorn tearsheets, and I’ll insert the necessary information into their profiles as required.
12.00 PM
It’s lunch time! I usually go for a walk and grab lunch outside since there are plenty of options! Sometimes there are days when there’s lunch in the office, so I like to indulge in it!
1.00 PM
Back to work! I will go through job applications and conduct more pre-screenings over Microsoft Teams with candidates who are interested in progressing with the job opportunities I discussed over the phone earlier in the day. To ensure these pre-screenings go smoothly, I like to go into a meeting room, and perhaps ask my supervisor if they’re free to shadow me and follow the procedure.
3.00 PM
Finally done following up with candidates! I get to work on posting job applications, conducting reference checks, and marketing follow-ups asking for constructive feedback on the tasks I have done from my supervisor and team.
4.00 PM
If I have managed to get my to-do list completed, I would ask my supervisor and team if there is any extra work I can do or get started earlier on the tasks I need to do for the next day. Otherwise, I’d like to take note of the feedback my supervisor and team gave me and prepare questions about new things I’m learning.
5.00 PM
That’s a wrap! I would say goodbye to my supervisor and team, and thank them for the day before exiting the office. I commute to my second job, where I will work till 10.00 pm. The hustle never ends!
10.00 PM
Finally done with my second job! When I get home, I will immediately cook dinner and listen to music to wind down my brain.
12.00 AM
Finally, bedtime! I will get ready beforehand and try to get into bed or fall asleep by midnight.
