Your role

Support CAO Teams (various HBAP sites) on the production and Analysis of Financial Information for External Reporting.

To manage the financial reporting requirements of a new pronouncement “Fin Rep” specifically related to the Balance Sheet, P&L, and associated supplementary data. The primary purpose is to meet the business need for control through:

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and validity of figures in the financial statements for monthly and quarterly close related.
  • Robust Analysis.

What you’ll do:

Principal accountabilities KPI and targets service delivery

  • Identify reporting requirements and assess applicability for respective countries.
  • Collate, and compile financial data/ reports using financial systems
  • Co-ordinate, closely with in-country finance teams and also the HBME Region
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of analysis and data integrity
  • Identify opportunities for development and drive changes independently
  • The candidate will be responsible for service delivery according to the established PLAs, drive process re-engineering efforts within the team, and provide analytical / accounting standard interpretation support when required by the onshore team.
  • Can understand and coordinate with GRCA reporting teams at GFC.
  • Ensure the completion of all reporting requirements within the contractual timeline.
  • Manage customer expectations related to timelines and deliverables.
  • Has a strong technical understanding of Accounting / Reporting principles and demonstrated competence in their application.

Challenges

  • Long working hours during peak reporting
  • Solutions for new reporting requirements need to be assessed and worked upon. The output needs to be validated against country-level GRCA reporting data.
  • Reengineering targets and efficiency gains need to be worked open
  • Process simplification projects need to be driven and results to be attained

About you

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • The candidate should be a CA Intern.
  • The candidate should have 18 months left for the Training Period and the Final attempt due on May 24.
  • Good IFRS Knowledge and ability to drive presentation and disclosure decisions.
  • Ability to understand numbers and their impact drive and achieve accuracies across report deliveries.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, MS Access) and Saracen.
  • Excellent Communication skills – Both verbal and written.
  • Good analytical skills, an eye for detail, and a drive for quality, statistical skills to study trends, understand, and interpret numeric information.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in planning and organizing techniques as well as in problem-solving techniques
  • Self-driven, with the ability to support new team members & work within a team.
  • Flexibility to work by Business requirements.
  • Ability to build rapport with and relate to a wide range of people including Business partners.
  • Should be open to shifts and willing to work overtime as per the process requirements.
