First alarm goes off. Wake up and start getting ready for work. The Melbourne team has travelled to Sydney to co-locate at the client site, and we are staying at a nearby hotel.

Grab breakfast and head to the lobby for the commute to the client site.
8.15 AM
Check work emails while on the way to work and plan/problem-solve tasks. Currently, we're in the early stages of a cost transformation project for a major telco client. I'm finalizing a Baseline model for their cost base to identify opportunities for cost benefits.
9.00 AM
Arrive at the client site in Sydney. Set up my desk and grab a coffee with a colleague.
9.30 AM
Team standup. Discuss priorities for the day and any upcoming client meetings or workshops with the team.
10.00 AM
Work session: Open Excel and continue building the Baseline model.
12.30 PM
Client check-in: Team meeting with the client’s CPO and Finance lead to provide a progress update and validate our hypotheses on potential benefits.
1.00 PM
Lunch break: Ask team members if anyone wants to join for lunch. Head to the food court to grab something to eat.
1.30 PM
Client interview: Lead an interview with an on-site Engineer to identify existing cost optimization initiatives and refine our benefit hypotheses.
2.00 PM
Work session: Continue preparing client workshop material in PowerPoint, ensuring clear storylines and sharp, succinct messaging.
4.00 PM
Problem-solving session with my team. Discuss any challenges or issues.
6.00 PM
Dinner: Head out with the team for dinner, Italian tonight.
7.30 PM
Head back to the hotel and go to the gym for a quick workout to stay active.
9.00 PM
Return to my hotel room and refresh. Check emails and messages to prepare for tomorrow.
10.00 PM
Wind down with a podcast or a TV show.
11.00 PM
Bedtime.
