We partner with clients to drive high performance that unleashes their full potential.

Ours is a pragmatic approach that results in true transformation, where people reach further, achieving results often beyond what they thought possible.

Partners in Performance was founded on genuine partnership with clients to unleash their full potential and achieve operational excellence, delivering measurable value and lasting impact, every time.

The partnership is not just part of our name; it is core to who we are and how we work. We collaborate with managers, supervisors and frontline personnel to build skills in the areas that drive operational performance. We wire businesses up to make them transparent and easy to manage, working with clients to make continuous improvement a way of life. Along with coaching and training people, we deliver to clients a toolkit to ensure lasting success.

It is a pragmatic and practical approach that we consider part of our firm’s DNA. We thrive on rolling up our sleeves and working alongside client teams – from the front line to the boardroom – making material change happen at all levels of the organisation.

Our global reach means Partners in Performance employees are exposed to all kinds of cultures and the firm celebrates diversity and acceptance.

Social Contribution

Partners in Performance promotes an all-encompassing 'No Harm' policy, in which we take proactive steps to improve the health and well-being of our people and the planet.

Recruitment Process

Partners in Performance seeks out strong academic performers who are agile thinkers and problem-solvers. Candidates should demonstrate the analytical, communication and interpersonal skills required to build a career path in a diverse, supportive setting.

Step 1 - Applying to Partners in Performance, requires applicants to upload the below to our company website:

  • Cover letter
  • CV
  • University transcripts

Step 2. - We will review each application form, cover letter and Cv thoroughly, and consider a variety of aspects such as academic achievements, relevant work experience, extracurricular activities or volunteer work.

Step 3.  - If Partners in Performance feels there is potential for a match, an 'enrolment' phone interview with one of our recruiters occurs.

Step 4. If you are selected at this stage, you will be invited to attend a virtual case study assessment centre followed immediately by a 1-on-1 case study interview with one of our consultants. Our case study assessment centre is facilitated by one of our consultants and you will be placed in a group of 4. The aim is to equip you with an understanding of the toolkit we use to problem solve and to assess you as you put this into practice! There will then be a 15 minute break as you prepare for your 1-on-1 case study interview.

Step 5.

If you are successful at the case study assessment centre and the 1-on-1 interview, you will be invited to complete another 2 rounds of back to back case study interviews with the senior leaders of our business.

Step 6.

If you are successful – congratulations!

You will receive a telephone call from one of our Directors. You will then receive a call from one of our recruiters, who will talk you through everything you need to know about joining Partners in Performance. You will then receive all relevant documentation including a letter of offer and contract via email.

To be eligible for the Partners in Performance Graduate Program you must have:

  • Australian permanent residency or Australian or New Zealand citizenship
  • Degree qualification or higher within the past two years

The firm’s goal is to make the interview process as transparent and realistic as possible, with candidates tasked with providing advice to a hypothetical business during each round.

Information on how to prepare for a Partners in Performance interview can be found on the firm's website.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • PiPers are fantastic to work with. They are caring, intelligent, and always happy to talk
  • Being supported by a wide variety of personalities and intelligence and constantly being pushed to learn more about the world
  • The development! Formal training, on the job training and frequent feedback from every colleague, means you are developed fast and continually learning new things. It was present through the interview process and has only improved from there.
  • 1. People are fantastic - sharp, caring , down to earth and respectful. Everyone is very focused on your professional and personal development and making sure you achieve your best potential 2. Work is challenging - every engagement is always an interesting challenge with opportunities to step-up and go outside your comfort zone (e.g. running meetings with C-suite level execs in your first year, building complex models, etc) 3. Lots of opportunities to get involved - big "self-starter" culture, lots of developing practice areas to contribute to (e.g. Energy Transition, Financial Services, Pro Bono, Digital Practice). Everyone is also very collaborative and willing to go the extra mile to lend a helping hand to turn an idea into reality 4. Flat org structure - leadership team makes an effort to get to know you, juniors are often expected to provide their perspective, not very hierarchical at all
  • Travel, diversity of work, constant learning opportunities
  • The hours can be long and you have to make sacrifices to prioritise what is important to you
  • Consulting is a demanding job, so there are days when there are long hours however the team I have worked with actively tries to ensure these are few and far between.
  • Mostly common issues with the consulting industry - 1. Hours/lifestyle can be demanding - whilst emphasis on work/life balance is better than most competitors, hours can still be long (engagement dependent) and pre-COVID flying to client site each week can be challenging to manage 2. High expectations to perform - also endemic within the consulting industry, but sometimes these pressures can make more work stressful 3. Work culture can be intense (mostly during stressful periods) - sometimes the scope of work can be way too much and everything becomes quite task/process driven so regular life gets thrown out the window (especially when working remotely)
  • Some times long hours
