About PwC

At PwC, we work together to create a better tomorrow for our people, our clients, and the communities we serve. We approach problems with curiosity, challenging the status quo to develop innovative solutions in partnership with Australian businesses and not-for-profits. Together, we strive to make a positive impact and drive meaningful change.

That’s where our people come in. Whether you’re just beginning your career or have plenty of experience under your belt, we believe your unique perspective can help us to deliver valued insights that make a real impact. Here, you’ll be surrounded by peers who have your back and leaders who support you, in an environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.

What does it mean to be a PwC Graduate?

When joining us as a Graduate, you'll launch your career by solving important problems - for our clients, our business and our communities. You'll use your degree in ways you never expected.

If you’re in your final year of study or have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, being a PwC Graduate offers you a full-time placement. Accelerate your career by tackling challenges with some of the largest organisations within Australia and thrive within your business area through continuous growth and learning opportunities.

Your Future Team

In the Energy Transition M&A Deals team, you’ll find yourself in a culture that values curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking. Together with your peers, you will develop solutions for challenges such as assisting an offshore mid-sized company that is looking to invest in Australia but lacks familiarity with the Australian market and potential acquisition targets. ET Deals will offer a comprehensive market overview, a market scan of acquisition targets, and lead advisory services throughout the buy side process. The team will structure co-development agreements and oversee the development process until the project is sufficiently mature to attract capital. Subsequently, ET - Deals will assist in identifying, approaching, and negotiating with appropriate debt and equity investors. You'll use problem-solving, integrity and a growth mindset to make an impact across the renewable energy industry including wind energy, electric vehicles and more. Along the way, you’ll build relationships and skills to set you up for a lifetime of success.

What will a normal day look like?

  • Prepare financial modelling, deal strategy and due diligence workstream management.
  • Develop energy strategy, evaluate market opportunities for clients and complete market research reports.

As a graduate in Energy Transition M&A Deals, you’ll need a degree in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Business, Law or Engineering. You’ll also need to be either an AU citizen, NZ citizen, AU Permanent Resident or an international student with a work rights visa.

The anticipated start date is February, 24th, 2025.

Your New Benefits

  • Flexible working arrangements including working from home or from a different PwC Australia base office
  • More opportunities to connect with loved ones, with the ability to work up to four weeks from anywhere in Australia and select international locations
  • Health and lifestyle perks like a wellness credit and discounted memberships
  • More family time with 26 weeks paid parental leave
  • World-class development opportunities to accelerate your career

I get to learn new things every day, which means my job is never boring. It’s also a very hands-on role, where I get to work directly with clients, grow my skills and see the impact of what I do.
