Pros & Cons
The Progressive work culture and flexible work arrangements. Shows that Management is true to its promise of delivering a "People-First" work environment
Best thing working at SBC is the people I get to work with. Very supportive, understanding, and guide you along the way
Offers Hybrid work arrangement, Open to Internal Transfers/Mobility, Competitive Pay Package
Our company offers great benefits that includes guaranteed 15 months of pay and other non- monetary benefits. Aside from that, our company focuses on extensive training to their employees.
It's a company that promotes collaboration and work from up. On the technology side, it's up to date with the current technology trends and the company always promotes upskilling of its employees.
Still too traditional on some aspects of the process.
Workload but I guess this is being experienced not only inside SBC but even with other companies as well especially those in hybrid set up.
Qualifications for promotions
As with other big organizations, some functions tend to be siloed and sometimes it takes time to navigate and identify the right people to talk to when you have a concern.
Due to the nature of my work, I feel the need to check on my emails and work phone even during weekends/holidays and even on vacation.

Personally, I consider myself a success story. I only started working for the company last 2019 and since then I've already been promoted 3 consecutive times.
We have a tagline: BetterBanking is sustainable. We're focused on 4 of the 17 SDG of UN and we've put in different efforst such as building classrooms for the community, tree planting, sending scholars to school yearly, etc.
Very progressive compared to other Banks I've worked with. They have a vision for digitization and transformation and is very aggressive to make it work.
Very diverse. Our leaders and employees come from various ethnicity and country. Despite being a local company, we are open to bringing in talents with no discrimination on race, gender and educational background.
As an enterprise architect, day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing multiple projects and providing consultations related to the domain I am assigned to. The role requires heavy decision making especially when a project encounters a roadblock.
We espouse a coaching and mentoring culture, and although no company is perfect, our managers are taught to always put into their mission, the progress of not only their unit but also of their own people.
The company's office is located in Makati City. The office space is built for collaboration. The 2nd floor reserved for IT personnel has just been renovated and has been designed for workplace 2.0. This is completed with a workplace platform/room booking app wherein employees can schedule and book an office spot anytime and anywhere. The dress code is in place but not that restrictive compared to other Banks wherein need to be strictly in formal attire.
Security Bank employees are measure on output so it does not really matter where you work and what time you work as long as you can deliver the tasks assigned to you
One of the most major sustainability initiatives of the bank is we are no longer dealing with clients that are into coal mining or other earth damaging industries.
