The program is beyond what I could hope for from a graduate program.

My main project over the course of my vacation program included creating a commercial induction for the departments onsite, as well as helping with the changeover of accounts payable (AP) systems.

The coolest thing about my job is getting to work with many stakeholders across such a span of the mine lifecycle. We are involved in exploration planning, long and short-term mine planning, operations, hazard management and mine closure.

I chose Defence because of the opportunities and diversity of work.

I love working with data. I spend a lot of time on Excel and our trending software looking for patterns and trying to understand what’s happening in the process.

Having a positive attitude will get you far in any job. A lot of any role is people management and working effectively in a team environment.
