Don’t wed yourself to a specific career path just because it’s the traditional way to do it. Think about where you want to be long term and be open to any opportunity that helps you get closer to it, even if it comes from somewhere totally unexpected.

Through working at Austal, l have found myself doing things that are well outside my scope but have learnt to embrace those moments and learn which has helped immensely when l have to make decisions in my work, I have a more rounded approach in thinking.

What I love most about my job at FTI is the industry exposure – the opportunity to work with big-profile clients and the diverse nature of consulting, where each day brings new challenges and projects across various industries.

Help/fix/build something/someone, it’s a lot easier to share authentically about an experience where you’ve tried to “get your hands dirty”.

You can think of my role as determining the least cost options to ensure the electricity network is running as efficiently and at the least cost to the customer as possible.
