Pros & Cons

  • The best thing about working at KordaMentha is the collaborative nature of the work. It's a supportive workplace that allows you to form both personal and professional relationships with your colleagues. The collaborative nature of the work is not limited to individual service lines, with some engagements requiring collaboration from various service lines. In addition to the above, KordaMentha provides a supportive workplace that facilitates career progression.
  • I enjoy the type of work and forms of engagement I get to work on. I also enjoy the work environment - everyone is very open and including, and the teams are always cooperative and overall a good experience.
  • The exposure to different industries and variety of work. From the minute you begin, you are given the opportunity to learn different aspects of an engagement and encouraged to take ownership of certain tasks or sub-projects. Everyone is welcoming and willing to take the time to help you.
  • Great corporate culture. Opportunities for career development. High level of collaboration with work. Unity through the team (e.g. business analysts discuss ideas with partners, not having to go through a middle man).
  • Great team, nice office space, leadership always make an effort for you.
  • Culture - mutual respect regardless of whether you're junior, senior, or very senior.
  • Can be long hours when working onsite.
  • The occasional long hours, but even then, the work is interesting so I don't really mind it. Hard to see any minuses at all.
  • There are certain tasks which are required which are more administrative and therefore less interesting. But these are still worthwhile business skills to learn and only a small part of our work.
  • Workload inconsistency.
  • Difficult conversations with external stakeholders
  • The nature of the work is often negative, just given you are largely dealing with people who have suffered losses.

The interview process and assessments were thorough, fun, and challenging. They were not overly stressful due to the way they were formatted and allowed for all of my relevant strengths and weaknesses to be displayed and tested.

I am uncertain of the exact efforts the company takes to reduce its environmental footprint, however, I do know that it is a priority.
